Tools Jan has built alongside Monoceros, for design research and for his own work.
In daily use since 2026
Virvar
A self-hosted store for one person’s work memory. Documents, call transcripts, email and AI sessions sit in one searchable place. AI assistants connect to it over MCP to read, summarise and file. It runs on ordinary web hosting.
Records a meeting as two tracks, the microphone and the computer’s audio. Both are transcribed offline with Whisper into one transcript that names each speaker. Audio and text stay on the computer. Tresky runs on macOS and Windows.
A voxel-based tool for hybridising and morphing three-dimensional models. Jan developed its geometry functionality at Subdigital with lead developer Ján Tóth and developer Ondrej Slinták, in a collaboration with the Slovak Design Center.
A free swarm behaviour library for Grasshopper. Its components compute how agents move from their locations and motion vectors, following Reynolds’ flocking rules of separation, alignment and cohesion. It runs with the Anemone plug-in, which feeds each step into the next.
