Monoceros
A Rhino and Grasshopper plug-in for generating spatial arrangements from parts and connection rules, directly in your design environment.
What it does
Model a kit of parts and define which faces can connect. Wave Function Collapse arranges them within a defined space according to those rules.
A complete result satisfies your connection rules. Change a part, a rule or the design space, then generate another result and compare. You decide whether it meets the design brief.

- Rhino 7 or later with Grasshopper, on Windows and macOS
- Licences
- Free tier with limited solver runs. Annual licence $149 or lifetime licence $399 per seat. Education licence $49 per year, subject to eligibility.

How it works

Define the parts
Model each part and define how it will be used in the kit.

Define the connection rules
Specify which faces can connect and how parts meet the boundary.

Generate and check
Run the solver and check the result against your rules.

Evaluate the design
Evaluate the result against the brief. Adjust the parts or rules where needed and generate another variation.
